Cell Biology and Art Class Omnibus

CACAO is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme under Key Action Two – Collaborative Partnerships in Preschool and School Education. The project coordinator is Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.

To deepen and diversify the key skills, knowledge and attitudes of preschool educators in Europe and beyond, the Cell Biology and Art Class Omnibus (CACAO) project brings together biology and music researchers, artists, educators and technology-enabled learning experts from five European countries to co-create a unique preschool learning programme that combines cell biology, music, dance and visual art. High-quality early childhood education is an extraordinarily powerful way to promote continued success in school, the workplace and society.

 

Seven partners from five European countries (Croatia, Spain, Belgium, Poland and Italy) have come together in a project consortium with the aim of developing and implementing a highly innovative and inclusive pedagogical concept that combines music, visual art and cell biology.

 

The CACAO pedagogical program will be developed for five- and six-year-old children and their educators who will receive certified professional training on using music as an educational tool for teaching children biological concepts.
